Working at the Bow Shop has...
« on: January 23, 2011, 06:21:00 PM »
i work now at a gun and archery shop in GRAY, Maine and all the working on bows and selling guns all day is hectic, well one day i was doing a little housekeeping and spied a little Kodiak Magnum sitting away in a closet, so i brought it out and looked it all over, no twisted limbs, i went to the rack and grabbed a string, it has been 4 years since i last shot a stick and string, had a bad fall and my shoulder would not allow it, well i strung it up and started to tune the thing to me and before long i had a sweet shooting little recurve and the feeling is back, my 3 1000.00 dollar compound set ups just sit and watch me and my new friend head out the door when it warm enough to shoot, hopefully our Bear Archery  dealership papers will be here Monday, and i can score one of the new Kodiak Specials i saw in the mag, well it feels good to be back home here and healthy again, i shot the State Record Turkey here in Maine a couple springs ago with my Compound and have already whispered to the Kodiak Magnum, this will be your spring to have fun...

Enjoy and welcome.  Look forward to hearing from you here at the traditional events here in Maine.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

i wouldn't have but i hyper extended my right shoulder and have to take a little vacation from it but i have still got quite a lot of my stuff left, probably will have two compounds for sale soon (lol), the owner has liken to staying after work and coaching me getting me settled in and not snap shooting and shooting true instinctive, he was taught by Darrel Lamb who used to own Oregon Bow company, so he is passing all that on to me, still up in the air as to what i want to get for a new bow yet, Craig Warren of Black Timber Bows made my last one so he will probably make the next also
