quiver from carpet
« on: January 24, 2011, 04:15:00 PM »
I just made a nice side quiver out of new piece of carpet.  Screwed a round wooden disce to the bottom and laced in a strap-also a back quiver the same way.  I put the carpet side inside the quiver, and they work so well for rabbit hunting with hex heads

Yeah pics. I do some dumpster diving at a friends carpet/flooring store and you can come up with some pretty good stuff. Looks like the people didn't like the color or something. Great target backstop material.  And maybe a new quiver!

I've been using the same home-made carpet backquiver for 3-D and fun shooting for over 10 years.  I have more expensive quivers but this one just seems to fit well...like an old favorite pair of shoes.

I remember a fella that came to the shoot at Cloverdale and the GLLI in Marshall, with a carpet quiver.

It was pretty cool looking!

Terry's offer sounds pretty good!
