The guy that traded with me was a Police Officer. Super nice guy.
He said that he loves the bow, but has been practicing and practicing and just couldn't get a 'handle' on shooting a longbow. Said he could hit the target but could never get good groups consistently which was extremely frustrating.
Told me that other guys would pick the bow up and stack arrows on top of one another, but for whatever reason he was never able to. He is switching over to a bow with sights to try and overcome this issue.
The inability to group well isn't the bow's fault, or a mechanical equipment failure on the part of the bow, because I have been able to group it consistenly. Mind you I am only shooting at 10-15 yards, so this is no fantastic feat by any means.
Either way, I am very fortunate that he was willing to trade.
Let me add that the rifle was a Rem 700 XCR in .270. It was in perfect condition and sells for around $900 new. Cabela's only wanted to offer me about 40% of it's value so this worked out MUCHH better.
