My friend is considering getting this bow and asked me about it but I have never shot any so I don't have experience with them.

It looks like is has a shorter riser and suggests shorter limbs for the drawlength as well.

LongStick64

I have a PSAX and I'm tickled to have it. The riser has good weight to it and the bow has that natural pointability to it. As far as any stacking, none felt at all. I think of the PSA as the middle ground between the PCH and PMA. Not so short as the PCH and not as long as the PMA.

I have 3 PSA's. 1 II 1 III 1 V with an extra set of Osage limbs. I wouldn't have that many if they weren't the best bow I have ever shot with the best customer service in the industry. Tell him to get one he'll love it. If he has some doubts he can also do the try before you buy program. Frank

MO Bow

That's the only recurve I've ever owned.  I love it.

Smooth, quiet and accurate.  Tough as nails too.  dropped it out of many a tree and still shoots like the day I got it.

I'll second longstick and mention no stacking as well.

The sight window isn't too big or too small...just right for me.

I know this clown who likes dropping his bows out of trees and his bow still shoots like the day he bought it. I like them so much that i have a tendency of buying one just so I could sell it and buy another in a couple years. Great bows

Southern Sam

I have a PSA V and really like it!!  Smooth, smooth, smooth!!! No hand shock and pretty quick.

Swamp Yankee

Great bow; smooth, fast and as bomb proof and tough as any.  Considering all current bows available, I'd say it's heavier than most.  I prefer heavier bows so it's perfect for me.

They make very good bows but way too much money for me.

I bought my PSAIII in 2004. Ordered it on the way to a root canal on December 31, 2003. The UPS man brought it to the front door on my 50th birthday. MIne is LH, 58" and was 52# at 26" when I bought it. This past August I had it reduced to 52# at 28" (47# at my draw length).

It's funny. The bow is very well made. It feels great (I like the regular medium grip because my hands aren't big), and feels very solid in the hand. I have no complaints with the bow but I can't explain why I rarely shoot it and have never hunted with it.

I don't regret owning it.

KSdan

Great design.  Compares to smoothness of many 64" bows. Almost the standard for others to compare. . .

I have two of them. I like them a lot. very nice looking and excellent shooters, thanks Jerry.

In my honest opinion one of the best bows made today ,I have over 25 bows and its been my go to for two years I've never shot a bow better.

Matt-I absolutely love mine and find it very smooth shooting, no stacking, and a pleasure to shoot! If your friend buys one he will never regret it! Thanks.

I have a PSA II and shoot it very well. The weight and design of the bow fit me pretty good.

Friend

The PSA III is a very nice bow.

The personal fit, just like any other bow, is key.
