I'm no expert ,but I can relate my experience. I had a real nice Hill Cheetah, 50#@28" 70" long. The bow had a locator grip and with my 550 GR cedars it shot very well. The down side was it would really thump you, not the the teeth jarring shock you hear about but very noticeable. I tried a 725 GR lam birch arrow and the thump went away. Now everyone is different, I also had a Jerry Hill 50#@28 68" long with a dished grip that did not thump me at all. All I heard were horror stories about them. A heavy arrow just made it more silent. Bottom line is I like a heavy arrow and so does my Apex Cumberland!   :notworthy:
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
