Let's see your bow wood!! Pics
« on: January 29, 2011, 08:11:00 PM »
I am looking to order a custom bow and not sure about what woods look like together or the actual look of the woods.

So let's see what your bows look like and please write down what type of wood it is.

I can't wait to see them. I keep getting closer and closer to ordering my new bow!!!
If it is easy where is the fun. That is why I use a stick and string. The only sight I need is with my eyes.

Not too fancy, but I like shooting my bows, not just staring at them.
Walnut limbs, Hickory riser.

Yew limbs, Wenge riser.

My riser is made up of reddish cocobolo footed with brownish shedua. The limbs are bamboo, but since I didn't like the extreme light color of bamboo, there is a veneer of stained rel elm overlaying the bamboo. The limb tips are basically reddish cocobolo.
