Pics from my last day hunt in the snow
« on: January 29, 2011, 09:13:00 PM »
Spent the last day of my Maryland deer season that I'll be able to hunt in a winter wonderland. Have not been able to get out as much as I wanted to this year, so this last morning I could hunt for the season was a must. Regardless of nearly a foot of recent snow, I had to get out and recharge myself. Took my Bear Grizzly out for one more hunt. I bowhunted exclusively with it this year which is a first for me, and even though I am having tag soup for the first time in years, I enjoyed every second of my limited time. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Some cocobolo footed cedars on top of a TRAP feather rest with vintage Bear razorheads crested and fletched courtesy of two really great TG guys.

Something to keep me going 'til next season.

Is it great to be a living, breathing American or what?

Beautiful setting.  I wish we would have gotten more snow.  I didn't hardly have a hunt with more than 1-2" of snow on the ground.  It sure helps me know where the deer are going in the late season.  The deeper, the better.  Also keeps some of the other hunters off the public land.

Man it's been a long time since I've seen snow stuck to the side of the trees. Brrrrr the thought of the cold wind that put it there. Great to be out there anyway. Thanks for the memories!
