have a few questions

1) whats the bace height suppose to be on a 60" bear kodiak?

2) why what are some reason why i seem to always shoot to the left? grip, weird anchor, wrong spined arrows?  seems like all my bows shoot to the left so it has to be me.

3) what are some good videos that show proper form, release ect...

Brace hieght I am not sure. Someone here with better knowledge of that bow hopefully will step in on that one.

Shooting left can be grip or arrow spine or anchor without seeing you shoot it would be hard to tell.
How long have you been shooting?
When did the left start, what did you change that caused it?

My thought on that would be that you may be tourquing your bow. Try to loosen up your grip a little bit and see if that helps.

Videos---rivers has a couple. Masters of the BareBow volumes 1,2,3 are all very informative. Might give them a look.

i shoot with a open grip, have been shooting the bear kodiak for serval years but really just started getting really into trad about 2 months ago.

just got the new bow and its hitting to the left then shot the kodiak and it to the left. not so much with the polar which is a heavier draw weight bow so i think my arrows my be a little over spined for the kodiak and hybrid. going to order a tip weight kit and mess around with it a little

Maybe you're anchoring too far away from the side of your face? Just a guess. It could be any number of things causing it, including, but not limited to, too stiff an arrow, short drawing, plucking the string, etc.

Many, many factors can cause you to shoot consistantly left. Some possible considerations.

1. Having a competent mentor is priceless.
2. Post a video of your form on the Shooters forum. There are many trad gangers that are willing to offer you assistance.
3. Study Terry's shot clock.

Assuming you are shooting rt handed, one possible fix is that if you actually see your arrows moving from rt to left, then you don't have the arrow under your eye at full draw.

Check for your dominant eye? Trad & compounds shoot different. That is, cant your trad bow to a comfortable position. This takes slight adjusting. Fun to learn though.

Canting the bow might help, are you shooting instinctive, just focusing on where you want to hit? Or are you putting the tip on the target in your sight picture, using it as a sight pin of sorts?

First of all, your arrows are too stiff.  They're hitting you window, because they don't go into enough paradox.  That's if your right handed.

Don't shoot with an open hand!  After the shot you have to grab the bow so you don't drop it.  That's a split second, who's to say your not grabbing the bow before the arrow has left ruinning your accuracy  Hold it lightly with your thumb and forefinger.

The brace height is used to tune the bow.  Give us some idea of poundage draw length ect and we can help.  We can help, but not as much as Stu's Calculator.

i keep trying to aim with the point and thats when i shoot the worse. i tried shooting just by getting to anchor and looking at the spot i wanted to hit and had some awsome groups right where i wanted them at 10-20yds. i think my releases might be one big reason.

i use the spine chart when i made the arrows. jsut rechecked them and it says im actually under spined if im doing it right.

my bow is a hybrid  66"   45# at 28". im drawing around 26.5". 12 strand  fast flight string

arrows im using

gold tip traditional 1535 (600spine)  29" 100gr brass insert with a 125gr tip, 3 5" feathers

i have a few cut to 28" as well set the same.  

almost think its just my form and release or something.

well i think the pro shop gave me the wrong size string then cause its around 10-11" brace the way it is.

what string size should i order? its a 60" bow

You are right in that middle ground where sometimes you do everything right and hit where your looking, and sometimes you don't but can't figure out why. Am I correct? I've been there.
It's a frustrating place to be, but the only way to get past it is first make sure your arrows are spined right for the bow your practicing with.
Second, pick an anchor that's comfortable and stick with it! I can't stress that enough. Don't play around with different anchors because it only confuses your eyes and your brain when it's trying to "Remember" where to focus. Pick an anchor like the corner of your mouth that feels natural and keep doing it repeatedly over and over and soon it will become second nature.
Repetition is the secret to getting good groups. Your eyes will learn to adapt to where you need to point your bow hand over time of repeated shooting.....Lots of shooting!

My last piece of advice is until you get your instinctive shooting skills honed, stick with the same bow. Don't switch back and forth with a different bow, that just makes things worse.

You will see what I mean when it all finally comes into focus because it's like sitting in a dark room by yourself and all the sudden somebody flips the light on. Boom......it all comes together.

I was once where you are my friend, and these things are what helped me and I still can't shoot worth a crap!

thanks. im only shoot the new one right now cause i want to master this thing.  love how it shoots but im trying to learn how to set it up. still want to shoot it through paper and see where its at

went tto the indoor range today to shoot some 3d. tried to just shoot instinctive the whole time and seems to work much better.  only missed 3 times at the 30 yd ones. had more dead foam animals tehn injured ones though haha.

then went to the paper side and just shot at a orange dot for the rest. when my form and release were great it was grouping awsome, toward the end i started getting a little sloppy and it started to show so i decided i should just stop there for the day.  starting to get the hang on it, just have to work on releasing. the new grip im trying seems to do the job
