Carbon Express Heritage tips?

Hey guys this is my first post here. Been strolling the forum for a month or two though. I have a question though if any of you would be king enough to offer support. I have a long bow that is 50# at 28" and my draw is 30". I plan on switching to carbons soon and I can get a really good price from a friend who has some 350s. I was wondering if those would be good out of my bow with 200 grain tips or maybe even heavier. If not would I need 150s or 250s? I think that's all for now. Thanks for any help in advance!

.350 gr arrows are really stiff.It can be done but with the 50# bows I have,it takes about 400 grains up front,including insert and point weight.This is with a 30" arrow at 29" draw.A .400 deflection arrow for those same bows would take about 260 grains on the front end.I would guess,a .500 arrow would takr about 125-150 grs up front.A lot depends on the bow's degree of center cut etc..

Assumimg your bow is 56#s at 30 and you will cut your arrow to 31".I would recommend a CX Heritage 250 and play with the point weight.

Probably around 200 grains up front.Fifty grain brass insert and 150 grain point is a good place to start in my experience with a 30 inch draw and bows from 50 to 56 #s with a CX Hertage 250.I get excellant flight from my bows with that arrow.Its versatile by just playing with how much weight you want up front

What jim said.Alot depends on your bows degree of center cut and his recommendations on the 350s is good advice.

I like the 250 and you would have a nice all around weight arrow of about 575 grains give or take.

ive shot 350s with good results, but from a 56# bow @30" draw and with a -3/16 center cut and 250 grain up front. So i too would think they are to stiff for youre bow. the 250s should work better, have fun.

I shoot the 350's with all of my setups listed below with no problems. I use a 260 gr field point and a 100 brass insert though to get them to fly good

Need a little more info. According to Stu's calculator. they could work at 31" w/ a 225gr tip,but I didn't know what string type so it could vary

I think you will find the 250's to be about right.

What kind of long bow and center cut?  There is a big difference between a cut out from center a ways D bow and an aggressive hybrid cut to or a little past center.  I am shooting some 250’s with 225 up front and 31” out of my bows listed below.  Not too far off of what you are doing. These bows range from 1/8” out to 1/8” past center, but all like this arrow fairly well.  It is not perfect in all, but a little point weight or length adjustment would get it dialed in for all.
