Hoyt Gamemaster Brace Height
« on: February 01, 2011, 06:51:00 AM »
I have a gamemaster with dorado limbs here that had a suggested brace height of 7 3/8". Just wondering if anyone else had experience in a similar setup and what bh they used.

Thanks

I like my Gamemaster at 8" brace height. That's with the stock limbs. I don't know what the difference is between those and the Dorado limbs, but I can't imagine it would change much.

Both my GM2 and Dorado like a brace height between 8 and 8.25 inches.

Yep definitely 8in or better with my Gamemaster and Dorado bows as well.

Wow! Thanks guys, can't wait to try some adjusted bh, a little snowed in at the moment here in Oklahoma. Makes for good reading however here on TradGang.

Thanks again,

Scott.

Just bought a dorado and had mine at 7 1/4 last night, it was grouping well, I might try to push it out to 8 and see if there is any difference tonight.  The website says between 7-8... So I settled in between.

My son has a Dorado and I have a GM I and GM II. We have them set up at 7 3/8-7 1/2 and they shoot great. We use them for bow fishing mostly.

Just wanted to say thanks again and let everyone know I adjusted mine out to 8" and shot it last night. It made a big difference for the better. Arrow flight was much better, and arrows seemed more comparable to "darts". My groups were much tighter, really thankful for all your input.

Scott.
