Lets say all things being equal(#60@28" D style longbow, cedar arrow), are there certain things anyone has found that lend them to pick a certain broadhead over another for animals like elk, or do you just use a longtime favorite! I know alot of broadheads are 1 1/8" cutting diameter, but there are also alot that are way more like 1 1/2"! Like when hunting whitetails, snuffers are great heads, but tend to get the thumbs down for elk with average weight bows/arrows! Does anyone have any experiences with penetration problems with these larger heads on tougher critters like elk, moose, pigs? Im toying with 3 heads right now for an upcoming elk hunt, 175gr Tusker Aztec(its now 160gr due to metal removal for spine and looks like a ribtek), 165 Ace Express, and a 160 Magnus1! Lots of different cutting swaths here, they all fly true! Im kinda on board for the whole "2 holes are better than 1", and it would seem more achievable with a narrower head???
