Long story short, my girlfriend's family is selling their cabin hostage, so they were cleaning it out. They found an old longbow and I was wondering if somebody could help me find out what kind it is. It's made of an orange colored wood, I think osage. Black fiberglass on the back. Straight grip, and it has two layers of micarta or fiberglass in the riser. Built thick on the limbs, the tips appear to be reinforced with a very thin layer of something that looks to be in the riser. The back of the upper limb is punch stamped WSNL 66" 58 28". I found it odd that it was punch stamped into the fiberglass, but that's where it is. The rest appears to be glued on, then overwrapped down the grip with a tennis racket style grip tape that suggests its not all that old. There are marks on it, above the rest from shooting, and more on the limbs. My girlfriend says it was her grandfather's and then her father's so she's keeping it, but I'm a history buff, so if you ever heard about one of these, please let me know. I know you want pics! I'm doing this on my phone, so let me try. Thanks in advance!
