bowtough, glad to know it's not just Iowa that people are seeing less deer in. The DNR in this state appear to have their heads in their kiesters when it comes to deer management the last few years. They seem to be having a problem with letting the Farm Bureau tell them how to manage our deer herd and what they think the numbers should look like.

"Bighorn sheep tag soup taste the worst."
Boy, I feel for ya, sorry or hear, but yeah, gotta agree on that, been there done that years ago and it still tastes bad.
Passed a few, but gotta eat buck tag soup this year. Had a little basket rack 5-point in range Saturday, (next to last day of season), but couldn't bring myself to draw on him. Would have preferred one of the doe fawns he was running with but they all busted me when they came to within about 10 feet...8^)

I'm sure I'll have a bit myself. I still have two doe tags, but we still have three weeks. They are tough tough tough tough tough to hunt now though. I'm gonna give em a few more goes, but I'll probably have some soup too.
