My mail carrier is younger Latina woman, around my age, 39, and she knows me from dropping off so many packages at my place (just like the Fedex guys and UPS guys... much to my wife's chagrin). So today she dropped off a package I had to sign for, and she asked me if I was into archery as she sees a lot of 3 Rivers, etc. catalogs for us. I said, "Yes." Well, she then asks me how do I practice without a yard, how do I get started with archery, where can I get a bow, etc....we sat there talking for a full 15 minutes about it and she was all over it. I told her to please take my next 3 Rivers catalog and look at their bows, arrows, and such....that way I won't order any more gear, and I forgot to mention Tradgang, but I will tomorrow. I almost told her to come in and look at my bow collection but I'm not going to detain the faithful US Mail. She really wanted to know what bow to get and what type of target works best so we chatted about that a bit. I also told her about bow making and arrow making, etc.
I thought it was pretty cool. I think I passed the torch today. I'll keep everyone posted.
