Striker coming in 2 or 3 weeks!
« on: June 10, 2007, 03:22:00 PM »
I know there's no shortage of "custom bow on the way" threads here.  But man, I can't help myself!  The last of the payments have been made.  Talked with Rick earlier this week and the Stinger (the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise) will be in my hands before the end of June.  I'm like a kid before Christmas!  Red elm limbs, bocote and osage riser.

Those of you who are on the Faith and Hope list for 2007 will appreciate the beauty and performance of Ricks' bows!

woo hoo!

ok, I feel better now that I've gotten that off my chest.

Shot a couple of his bows at Cloverdale, very nice fast quiet and no hand shock. A good friend of mine put a deposit on one, going to be 47-48 at 28 w/bocote riser and osage I believe... Seriously considering doing the same, some of the best shooting longbows Ive shot...

I agree. I have a Stiker "Slapstik", bow and love it. It is fast and smooth with no hand shock. Everyone that shoots my bow feels the same way about it. Rick Ellis is an excellent bowyer and great to do business with.

Got the bow today!

What a beauty.  The osage and bocote riser is gorgeous.  The limbs, the tips, everything is beautiful.  Chores and duties kept me from getting to play with it as much as I would have liked, but it is nice to shoot, super smooth and fast.

Sorry no pictures, digital camera not working right now.
