arrow help...

I'm shooting a plx 53@28" the bow is 62"  I have a 28" draw and my arrows are cut 29 1/2 I had my brace height set at 7 3/4 and my arrows were all over .
I worked my way down to 7" and they tightened up, and I also switched from 140 grain heads to 125.
Any other thoughts on getting better groups.
I'm not experienced at tuning so I need advice.

My PL is 51#@28".  I draw a true 28"  My arrows are cut at either 29 or 29.5.  I am shooting AD Trad Lites with 3 5.5 shields and shooting a 145 gr field point or a 176 gr BH set up.  I shoot 3 under and my brace is about 7.75 but I'll have to check to be sure.

I am gonna bet you have an arrow problem or a form problem.

What arrows are you shooting? Size of feathers anad insert plus BH adaptor weight?????

Need more information such as the kind of arrow your shooting.  I don't think any of the changes you made had any affect on the size of your groups.

Most people can help if you give the spine of your arrow (deflection) in addition.  Everyone can help you if you give that and where a bare shaft hit compared to a fletched shaft.  OR a hole a fletched shaft made when shot through paper.

When I shoot bare shaft it kicks left when it hits the target.

I agree with Bowmania!

No groups is you and only you.
If you are getting groups, just not on target that is tuning.

Tuning is a frustrating proposition if you aren't shooting decent groups already.  Within several spine ranges, you will still be able to shoot groups, they just may not be on target.

For now forget trying to tune.  Just shoot the arrows you have and work on your form.  You'll know when you have progressed far enough that you need to tune.

And by the way, bare shaft is even tougher if you aren't already shooting good groups with fletched arrows.

the target itself can cause the arrow to kick when it hits.  What does it do in the air before it gets to the target, and how does it compare to the arrows with fletching?  As stated before if there is no group at any distance you might have form and/or release issues.  the link give is fantastic, and really helped me when I first started out.  The next step might be to see if you can find a tradgang member in driving distance that you can hook up with and shoot to get some feedback.

I shoot my buddies bow and I can bold 6" groups at 15 yards. It's 45# @28".  maybe overbowed?

Bare shafts kicking nock left (in right handed shooter at around 10 steps) indicate weak arrow spine.

Im betting you arrows are weak too , at that draw weight and arrow length id be shooting a 2018 or 2117 with  125 - 145 ponit . If you were shooting your arrows thru the 45 lb bow your buddy had , the 2016 would be right and thats why you shot better groups with it .
