My first Stictly Sticks shoot today
« on: February 20, 2011, 11:44:00 AM »
I just got back from my first trad shoot sponsored by Strictly Sticks Traditional Archers. Some guy on here named Bob Hildenbrand invited me out and man am I glad I accepted. I was greeted kindly by everyone I met.I shot with 3 other gentlemen that were my kind of people. I had the oppurtunity to try other bows and pick up some helpful pointers and info.
Today was the most fun I've had at a 3D shoot in years. The course was filled with realistic hunting shots that were all challenging in their own way. Average distance was 13 to 18 yds with a few closer and 1 or 2 a little further.
Yes, I am hooked on this Trad deal and after today have the confidence to continue shooting and try to be ready for my first trad archery season this year.
Thanks, Bob.   :archer2:

I'm glad Bob hooked you up with us, the pleasure was all mine.  Thanks for sticking a couple in the dirt to make me feel good.  Look forward to getting together again.

I was at the shoot today too. I try to make it to each of their monthly winter shoots. This one was nice with sunny 40 degree temps and no snow!  I heard there were 85 shooters there today, almost a record.

Good people, good time.
