Modified Grizzlies: McMillan style
«

I decided to put a little spin on a few of my grizzlies. I modified the tip to have a much steeper angle, and also added a slight bevel to the offside of the tip. this point had the best initial penetration of all the styles I tried. They were push-tested on heavy duty leather. I also added a brown rustoleum coating for kicks. it looks very similar to teflon.

Thanks, Woodcock! I've got a lifetime supply of Grizzly heads and have been trying to visualize what sort of point modification would work best. Looks like you nailed it!

the whole process changed the weight right around 1 grain. 160 to 159/158. nothing appreciable
