ordered some SBD Ultra skinny's for my Peregrine....
« on: February 28, 2011, 03:28:00 PM »
Hi Guys,

My Peregrine is already fast with the 10 strands 8125 string that came with it.
But now I ordered two SBD BCY D-10 6 strands strings for it. Since my Peregine is 45lbs@29" 6 strands will do the job. Can't wait to find out how that shoots. I had already some great experiences with the ultra skinny's from SBD for another longbow. They shoot great, are well made and last long. And yes, they are ffffffaaasssst and whisperquiet.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

better keep some water handy to put out the flames on yer feathers!   :D      those peregrines are FAST and the SBD strings have added some noticable fps to every bow I've put them on.
Chasing my kids and my degree for now but come next fall the critters better look out.  ;)

SBD strings are FAST and QUIET.

You will probably need to move up in arrow spine. For my 50# at 29" recurve I need a dynamic spine of 80# for a 29.5" arrow with the SBD 6-strand string -- and it is fast. Yikes! What a great string.

Where can a guy get one of these SBD strings? I just twisted up a B-50 16 strand for mine and am blown away by the speed and accuracy.

Wow!  10 strands of 8125 sounds skinny to me.  Please let us know how it works.  I'm curious how stable your brace height will be.

10 strands of 8125 works quite well. I set the braceheight and after a week it was stable and still is after half an year and much shooting.

The same with SBD 6 strands strings

best string I have tried. You will love it. Quiet as a whisper on every bow I have tried them on.

Yup, I've used a number of them also on other bows. They are fast, quiet and very well made. And they last long!

I don't shoot flemish strings but the sbd strings I've tried are the nicest flemish strings I have seen! I got a peregrine on order and got to shoot the slynx the peregrine and the wolverine at kalamazoo....AWESOME bows and abe and his wife are really nice people!

They really are great strings from great people.  For those of you who were unaware of it, or may be in need an SBD string right away, we do stock the "skinny" (8-strand D-10) SBD strings which are on hand and ready for immediate shipment.
