X2 on epoxy for the short adapter.
Most archers seem to prefer long adapters in heads that will accept them, and I am no exception. The longer bearing surface aids in bonding and can also help with alignment. You definitely want a super strong adhesive like epoxy for use with short adapters as there is so much less bearing surface for the glue. Glue failure on a hard hit can cause the adapter to drive forward within the head like a wedge and split the head from the back. It's rare but it can happen.
A long adapter reduces the likelihood of that happening even further.
