sw florida hunting?

My wife and I are thinking about moving to the fort meyers area and I was wondering how the deer and hog hunting was,and are there public hunting areas close by?

I can't answer your deer and hog questions but while in Port Charlotte this weekend I saw a lot of fish (tilapia maybe?) in the canals. Looks like a good place for bowfishing.

I hunt all over south and entral Florida for hogs, deer, and turkey. There are a bunch of  public Wildlife Management Areas(WMA)in SW Fl. Check the FWC website for specifics.
In general, the private land is tough to get access to, unless you get on a lease.
The public land hunting can be good though, especially in bow season or during a quota hunt(lottery). PM me if you want specifics.
