anyone make 2 D targets
«

Just wondering if anyone makes their own 2D targets.
We are looking to make some (basically because our bowhunters club doesnt have any)
And we thought we'd make our own course .
I saw a you tube video but wanted to reach out to anyone that may have made them and have suggestions on what to use.
Thanks

there used to be a company named Spencer targets that made them, really inexpensive, but they held up pretty well.

I make my own silouettes, deer and pigs, out of cardboard. I put them on stuffed feed bags hung throughout the woods.
I also use some 2D targets from Dink's Feather Shop. I'll post pics when Photobucket speeds up.

We use close cell insulation foam sheets and cut out 2D targets, mostly squirrels and rabbits. Have done cardboard for hay bales also.

I do like Reddogge, and have done so since I've been deer hunting. Cardboard silhouettes staked out in the woods or leaned up against bag targets.
At my first employer a couple of us made masters that could be run through the Diazo blueprint machine for lifeside deer and woodchucks. ;-)

I can take a joke, no problem. At least someone recognized they were hogs.
Just freehand sketched on cardboard and cut out with a little marker artwork on them. The deer lost their heads too.
AS you can tell most of the bags in the woods can be shot from both sides so I put two silouettes on them. They won't hold up to the weather so I have to put them out and take them in when I shoot them which is for my grandkids or company. I normally just shoot the bags.

Way back in the day (1990's) we were able to buy ethafoam sheets about 3" thick. We just drew an outline and cut out the target. Then got some guy with an air brush to paint em..... Pretty tough and you could cut out the kill zone and replace it with a new ethafoam block...

Last year I made my own 2D decoy.
I searched for "Whitetail Deer" in Google (images) until I found what I wanted. Then I saved the pic, and printed it on a transparency. I borrowed the overhead projector at church and projected it on a piece of cloth over cardboard, adjusting to make it life size. With a fat black marker, some cheap paint, and a paintbrush, I ended up with a great decoy. I watched deer come in to it, and they thought it was the real deal.
