Carbonwood 4000 equivalents?
« on: March 07, 2011, 01:45:00 PM »
Relatively new to carbons - is a Beeman 400 (or any other 400 series arrow) equivalent in spine or deflection to a Carbonwood 4000.  I have the Carbonwoods shooting well out of a couple of bows but apparently they have stopped producing them.

The CX 250 should be very close. It is 11g per inch and a .373 spine. The heavier shaft should make up for the difference in spine.

thanks, bigjim

Any .340 spine carbon would be close choice also, like a Beman MFX 340.They are around 10.4 GPI and the Classic is around 11.2 GPI.I have a couple of bows that I still shoot Carbonwood 4000 out of,and they fly just great out of it.Since they don't make them anymore I went with a 340 spine carbon.
