Hi to all.I'm new to this side of archeryso i'm gonna ask.Right now i'm shooting a Blackwidow pma 49@28 with this arrow setup 5575gt 50gr insert and 150gr head 5"sheild and wrap.This setup is roughly 500gr.Thanks for any and all help.

That is about what I do with the GTs and my 48@28 longbow which I draw to 28". I use a 200 gr point and 11 grain insert. I am aiming for about 500 grains. I use a 29" arrow. What length are you using? Measure from nock valley to end of shaft (don't measure the point).

Stay around 10 grains per lb. and you will be fine.

I would suspect that you are a fair bit over spined with the set-up you describe.

1. If your bareshafts say your good, then your good.
2. Much safer for the bow not to go below 9 gpp.
3. The 500 grain set-up in conjuntion with your 49# draw wt has been sufficient to harvest up to deer-szed critters for many a trad hunter.
