I never hear anyone making self bows from cedar. I cut a bunch today and thought I would make my son a bow. It would be about #20 @ 25.Does cedar work?

You can make an English style long bow from it and it'll make hunting weight easily. Google "eastern red cedar longbow" and see what comes up. Also check over at "Primitive Archer". Lotsa erc fans there.
There sure is alot of air around a squirrel...eeyup.
