Finish with the eco dipper??
« on: March 16, 2011, 05:52:00 PM »
What finishes and paint are you guys using with the eco dipper?  I didn't know if there was anything other than the gasket lacquer.  Can you use the same eco dipper to do the finish and the paint?  Thanks in advance guys!

I intend to try it with poly since I have a can of that and don't presently have gasket lacquer. The gasket however drys in  few minutes allowing quick multiple coats where as poly takes a much longer drying time between coats. My guess is that you may want a different dipper to do your cap dips. I'm sure somebody that has actually experimented a bit will provide us the answers we need.

I'm new to making wood arrows and just wanted to make sure I was buying the right finish.  I know the gasket lacquer will work.  Does anyone know which paints will or won't work?
