Schafer Silvertip "Ghost" Info
«

I ran onto an old Silvertip "Ghost". Bow is in good condition, but definetly hunted, it shoots great. Green laminated riser w/black glass on limbs, it is signed by Paul. I was looking for some history on these bows. Asking price is $350. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jr.

I believe that shortly after Paul developed the Silvertip and they became the bow to have, things got to the point where he could not keep up with production. Don't quote me on this but I think that he subbed things out to Martin and they finished the bows for him. He may have made the risers and Martin completed the bow OR Martin may have made the entire bow. Martin Archery had some role in the manufacturing process. There were those he made completely and those that Martin made. Somebody will chime in here and fill in the details for you, but I thought I'd get ya started.

Actually that agreement went south at some point and Paul ended up building start to finish a bunch of the Silver Ghosts. I owned one such Silver Ghost for a while that was made totally by Paul.
NICE BOWS!!!
