Steel broadhead adapter users ?
« on: March 26, 2011, 07:39:00 AM »
So I don't hijack another thread, I started my own. To guys that use these, do you also use them with your other type points (field, judu, blunt, etc.)to keep the weights the same? Or do you use other methods?

I try to keep it all the same..I will use a screw in point of the same weight as the broadhead and steel adaptor.  125gr adaptor + 125gr Broadhead= 250gr...I then just use a 250gr screw in point.

I like the brass adaptors.  With the steel, if you get them wet and forget them too long, the rust can be a devil to break free.

I use whatever works. If there is a screw on field point the exact weight I need,I use that.I often need an odd weight so then I use the adapter and appropriate weight glue on field point.I can further customize the weight by adding lead bird shot in the front of the point ferrule or on the hollow cavity of the adapter or both.

I use both 75 and 100 grains on my broadheads depending on their grain weight with no adapters.
