Any tips for bare shaft tuning?

back up ten more yards...who gives a crap if you can hit a spot at that range ,you want to see what your groups are doing.

Read again - you use a mix of bare and fletched for nock set as well. And do 20 yds. You use the "OL" method to avoid reading the inconsistencies from form, release,etc.

Hvy hitter im not good enough at this point to keep tight groups past 20yds, so it really wouldnt tell me much.

If you can hold 3-4" at 20 yards, you will be able to do bare shaft tuning using the Adcock method quickly and easily.  If your groups are larger than this, you may want to practice some before getting into the details of fine tuning.  The reason is with large group sizes it may be very difficult to get a true reading on if the bare shafts have the same or different POI vs. the fletched ones.

I have always found at 20 and plus I can see if the bare shafts are flying straight of not.  If they start to fly right or left I can usually see it in the air before it strikes the target.

What I was getting at is that you need to be far enough back to get the seperation of the groups. Even if you shoot basketball sized groups at 20/25 yds its easier to tell that the one group is left/right/up/down from the other. At 15 yds and under the groups may overlap too much to get clear results. Also shoot both sets of arrows 3 or 4 times and compare your groups before making any changes to get a true idea of how your shafts are impacting. When I start checking broadheads against field points I will really back up to 30 or more to check my group, usually 2 fieldpoints then a broadhead, 2 fp and 1 bh, 2fp and 1 bh. Then if the 3 broadheads are mixed in the center of the other 6 arrows I know my setup is on. If its off its easier to see even if its a 20 inch group.
