Well I visited the shop this week. The owner/bowyer is Steve Bingham, he used to go under the name of desert fox bows, I think thats what it was called, and changed to Red Mountain Archery when he moved to Utah. He said he knew and has hunted with a few people from this site.
His bows are very traditional, simple hickory or osage orange and bamboo. He has been making them for about 12 years.
His wood arrows are made from shafts he gets from Rose City Archery. They are highly customizable with many various crests, finishes, and fletching options.
It was a great experience to see the bows in various levels of completion and see how the process happens from a stick to a functional bow. As well as get some face time with a traditional shooter as they are so rare in Utah. I felt like a kid on field trip day.
