Anyone? Elk/Mulies in Kim, Colorado?

Hello all,
I have a chance to hunt in the Kim, Colarado area this year and while this scope of land IS mainly flat, cattle grazing land...it does have some small canyons and deep creek bottoms that run throughout the 10,000 acres or so.
My questions are...has anyone her ever hunted this east side of the main north/south highway running through Colorado and has anyone ever gotten up close and personal with any number of elk to speak of?
I have heard that elk and mulies are there, but that you really have to spend time locating them. In term of elk, it goes against evrything I have read or seen of them residing in the "flat-lands" during the month of September.
Thanks in advance for any information regarding this area

I have hunted north of there near Granada. Never saw in elk in that area.
I have also travelled through Kim, nice country, very pretty. Saw plenty of deer, mostly mulies, and saw antelope a number of times, but never elk. I have read, and talked to a few locals that have said they have seen elk. The elk seem to be "moving" east, following the rivers.
