Mounting quiver to backpack?

Being a western hunter and almost never hunting from a stand, I have always used a bow quiver. I always hunt with a frame pack on, I am ready to kill something every time out, so most any other quiver is sort of in the way.
This year I want to hunt with a little sinew backed osage bow that I can't hardly bring myself to attach a quiver to. So I was thinking that I need some way to mount a quiver to my backpack. I figured I am far from the first person to think of this and was looking to see if any of you had done this and could give me some ideas. Thanks!!

My pack actually came with a quiver and it lashes to the side of it.  The issue you will find with this is that if the fletches are pointing toward the top, they will get caught on brush as you walk.  If the fletches are mounted towards the ground, they grippers that hold the arrows have to be good and solid or you will lose your arrows.  Try mounting the quiver as low as you can with the fletches up and so that they don't exceed the height of your pack frame for the best results.

Take a look at the various side quivers out there.  I use an Arrowmaster and it rides beautifully with a pack on my back.  It just kind of lays alongside the pack with no interference at all.

check out the Tarantula M.A.Q. It's light and sturdy and will attach about anywhere

Get creative and use some velcro. you can buy wide pieces(4" x 2") and this way you can remove it from the pack when needed.

I've actually used bunjee cords to attach a mini catquiver to my pack.

I use a shoulder bag with the quiver mounted horizonal and the fletching to the back. With a little care the arrows don't snag brush and are quiet. I hunt from the ground so this set-up works good for me getting to and from.

I have used a Mini Cat quiver and strapped it to my pack frame.....works great!

I use ty-wraps to attach mine to the pack.

I use my back pack and secure my Safari tuff quiver to the pack with the side straps, doesn't interfere with movement at all and the arrows are already protected and are still easily accessible.

I have used this quiver for almost 20 years attached as shown in the photos.  I had a shoe repair shop sew on the 2" strap and mount the snaps on the waist belt of the pack.  This pack and quiver have been in all types of hunting environments with no problem getting through all kinds of brush by "steering" the quiver with my hand on the hood.  The quiver can easily be removed and used on a belt for other types of hunting.

Another vote for the mini cat. Or a good shoulder quiver put pack on then shoulder quiver so it doesnt get caught up in waist belt. Also look into a silent stalker type singe arrow quiver. Mine ties to the upper limb of my selfbow and I always have an arrow at hand. I just hold the bottom of the arrow in my hand at the bow grip.

ok i was thinking of this a few weeks ago and came up with you know the bracket that you screw to the bow on a compound like a lil quickie quiver bracket that you clip you quiver on and off with buy a extra lil bracket and attach the bracket to your pack then you have a quick release quiver for your pack

Mark Baker sells a bracket to mount a Kwikee Quiver on and it slides over your belt....I have made my own that will fit over my waist belt on a pack...works good! There are lots of ways to make things work for you!
