For the love of a Morrison...or two!
« on: April 11, 2011, 06:46:00 PM »
Finally getting around to posting some pics of the two most recent additions to the stable.  I first received the one piece Dakota and loved it so much that I had to try a Shawnee with Dakota limbs.  These were all purchased on here from fellow TradGangers who have all been a real pleasure to deal with!  Enjoy the pics!

The specs on the one piece are:
59" and 62# @ 28".  Carbon/Foam limbs with Mun Ebony riser and limb veneers (thanks Bowhunter for Life)

The Shawnee riser is an 'A' riser, low grip, half pinecone, and woods are Macassar ebony with Zebrawood flair, and was just refinished by Bob with his new "tough as nails finish" that is incredibly nice! (thanks Lowebow).  The first set of limbs are 'D' limbs (59# @ 28"), bamboo core with canebrake skins (thanks Gene Carroll).  The second set of limbs are 'D' limbs (57# @ 28"), carbon/foam (thanks Rich in CO).

Thanks to all who aided me in these awesome bows!

Can't seem to find the pics of the carbon/foam limbs...

Will get pics up as soon as I locate them in Photobucket!

Travis,

The Dakota is Mun Ebony not Macasser. I was the original owner of the bow.

Dog gone it Danny, I knew it was Mun, and Jeff told me that he got it from you!  Sometimes I have those "moments"...I will edit the post to reflect that.

I absolutely love that Dakota!  It has been my "go to" bow since it arrived.

Thanks Danny

Man I love the skins House. Now I'm closer to sending my limbs to Bob to get a skin hook up. might just do that after my Dye gets here.

Yeah Rich I really like the skins too.  I've got a buddy who has a bunch of snakes on his place keeping his eye out for a nice matched pair of rattler skins for Bob to put on the limbs I got from you.
I really like the canebrakes though...

Thanks Bob B. I think they are pretty sexy too...but I might be a little biased.

Bob's skin jobs are top notch.  I know he has a pretty good selection of different snakes right now to choose from.  I'm a sucker for skins myself.

BOWMARKS, You are shooting bows in my weight preference. I'm not begging ( or am I? ) but if you ever decide to part with any of those nice Morissons, I would be willing to provide them a happy home. Lol.  :clapper:    :archer2:

Thanks for all the kind words guys.  Mike I agree that those canebrake limbs look awesome with the riser.
