No...they are parallel...tapered...parallel...so you wont mess up the taper.

With that weight head at 30 inches and that weight bow....I'd go with the Trad Lights.

If you do a search, you will see that these arrows cover a wide range of bow weights and head weights.

BTW...if you do have them cut...cut them from the FRONT end.

Trad lights for my bows in that weight range. I will bet with a 125 grain head if you bare shaft you will probably not take off more than 1/2 inch by the time your done.

Trad Lites spine out to 35/55, the heavies 55/75. I think its a great arrow.

I don't like a lot of arrow overhang from my shelf because of my split vision method of aiming. So for my 27" draw, I cut, like Terry said, from the front end the shaft down to 28.5".

I installed a 100 gr brass insert, 30 gr BHA then my 125 Zwickey and 160 Snuffer. I have minimum of 255 grns up front with the 125 heads and they fly great out to 60 yds. I use 5" parabolic feathers, shoot both RW and LW.

I shoot the Trad Lites from my Recurves, 57# Groves and 58# Kempf and 58# Bill Stewart. I always shot barrel tapered ash and liked the tapered shafts and these AD's, in my opinion are one of the finest carbon shafts out there.

OK...  I am shooing Trad Lites out of my 51# PLX.
I have one set, set at 29.5" (I draw 28")Sasquatch heads on 100 gr steel adaptors.  Got another set with 50 gr brass inserts.  This bow also shoots the Yellow lettered Nitro stingers with the Sas. head but is a faster arrow with good FOC.

I also shoot a 45# MA III and a new 44# PL II with these set ups.  The fact is all these bows shoot all these set ups very well...  I am also shooting the stingers out of an orig. 1968 Bear Super Mag 48...  same results

From and old guy...  These arrows are the best thing to come down the road since sliced bread...
