New to me bow
« on: April 14, 2011, 11:52:00 AM »
The canebrake I just bought off here just arrived. Here's my initial impression of it. I love the grip it really fits my hand so it's real comfortable. The riser is alot slimmer than I figured it would be, bow balances nice and it's alot lighter than the MAII I got last fall which could be nice. It pulls smooth and points good. Gonna try this weekend to take it out and shoot it a little to see how it does.

Don't you just love getting a new bow to try out!! I have a set of foam core limbs in route
for a ILF riser myself. Hope your new bow shoots
as well as it points. rr2 out.

Yup, if I had enough money I'd always have a new one of some sort on the way. Now between the canebrake and the MAII I need redone I'm going to be busy figuring which one I like more lol.

Your initial impression sounds promising.

Hope the two of you are a match.

Good shooting,pics?
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Dan Quillian knew how to design bows. I've read great things about the Canebrake. Congrats on a fine bow!

Well went out this evening and shot the bow. All I can say is it's a keeper. Am really impressed by how smooth the draw and how smooth the bow shoots. Hits where I'm looking, had a hard time convincing myself to stop shooting and go eat. Now I see why people don't get rid of these bows very often. Sweet bow and thanks to wannabe1 for a great bow.
