Hi Lisa,

Can you give us more info?

I'm sure you'll be overwhelmed with ideas but post more about the shooter and if hunting will be involved. And if so, what game?

longbow?

Recurve?

Stickbow/selfbow?

Welcome to TradGang.

Just curious, Are you looking for a gift for someone special? Maybe your S.O. (significant other)!
As Bud said, we need details.

Have they been shooting for a while?

Are they a newbie?

if they have been shooting for a  while, what do they shoot?

What kind of catalogs have been laying around?

The good news is, most bowyers have somewhat of a wait, you could put money down for a bow but leave the specifics up the Birthday boy.
Relax,

Videos and accecories are always great too. There is a huge list of sponsors if you go to "Forum Home", scroll down to "Sponsor Links", you will have access to many businesses that sell items he will be happy with.

Although you are a very cool and thoughtful wife/girlfriend, getting on TradGang and taking anonymous advice on something as personal as a custom bow may not be the best way to go.  If it's accessories and stuff, that dog will hunt, but on a bow I would try to get his friends in on it and try to find out what his dream bow is.  Of course, if he posts somewhere you could also do some detective work.     :dunno:

The other problem with a custom bow is turnaround time to make it, in most cases it is a couple months to a couple years!

Good luck!

Is this for Kyle?  If so I can look over old string orders to see what he likes.

Thanks,

Josh

How about the St. Judes Auction.  Give him the ok to get what he wants, and the kids are rewarded as well??
