Got home after school and work today to find a box waiting for me! I knew it was one of two bows: either the bowyer's bench trade bow, or the horse bow I recently ordered.
It took a while to open it up and get all the plastic wrap off it, I was greeted with a great horse bow. Strung it up, and here it is!
Unfortunately, there are no markings to show exactly what poundage it is, but it's somewhere around 50-55# at 28" I'll get some measurements on it later.
This thing sure kicks an arrow out of the bow, and pretty fast. Now that I finally have a trad bow again, I gotta get practicing. I'm hoping to get to a 3D shoot soon, looking forward to it!
On a side note, those of you that may remember me from an earlier thread "Help me learn how to hunt," you'll be happy to know that I've made progress. Last weekend I attended a hunter safety education course, so now there's nothing stopping me from getting ready come squirrel season! (Or I could hunt coyote when my skills get good enough--it's year round here in Illinois)
