Archery Sporting Clays

Laporte has made a sporting clay machine that throws discs just like the machine that throws clay pigeons. It holds 65 discs and looks like it would be some great fun. You can set the machine to throw high or throw rabbits and as fast and as slow as you want. Can't wait till someone gets one of those to try it out. Could be a great addition to a 3D course.

I called on purchasing one and they are a lot more expensive than I was thinking.  I was figuring a few thousand dollars and was way off.  Laporte is a very well known company for their clay throwers but I wish their products were a little more affordable for private use.

Figured a few thousand dollars and you were way off? Wow! That's a pricey piece of machinery!

They wouldn't make them or price them that way unless they sell, so I'm betting it must be a pretty sweet piece of equipment.  I considered more than double my high estimate "way off."  It would sure be fun to try one though.

Shot a bunch on the one at NSCA National headquaters early in April when we were down for the collegiate shotgun championship and just shot it again this past weekend at the English World Championship.  Its a rip but yea, the machine is way expensive.....
