Flint rock for napping?
« on: May 06, 2011, 09:00:00 PM »
I just bought a house and 5 acres. There is white flint rock everywhere. Is flint rock any good for napping? Thanks, Don

Yes,

Flint comes in a lot of grades.  If it is not the right texture you can search online and find the way to heat treat it to get it to where you can knap it easily.

Ragnarok,

Is there much flint here in Washington? I've always wanted to try my hand at traditional skills.

But right now, the only napping I do is on the couch.
