Adding a peg to the Thunderstick Rack
« on: May 07, 2011, 09:37:00 AM »
Talked to Jim yesterday, he has the spec's, and will be building #5 in a couple weeks. After much discussion, I settled on the following for my elk hunting rig-

Thunderstick MOAB 60" takedown, 55-60@27" Bubinga riser, Action-Boo limbs, antler overlays on the tips( cuz antler overlays are just plain good mojo). Told Jim anywhere between 55 and 60# is just fine.

Now whats gonna suck is I probably wont be able to shoot it for a few weeks after its here, as my elbow is still recovering from surgery, but its comin along great, and should be tossin a few arrows out of the 41# bow by the end of the month if the Doc gives me the ok.

I was debating on Zebrawood, which would match my sons T-stick Mag, but decided on Bubinga. Didnt want anything fancy, just simple, functional elk killin power.

This will be my 3rd MOAB, and first takedown. Im just a wee bit excited!   :bigsmyl:
...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......
