Bjorn, the camera is a must. There will be so many beautiful things to capture on film...uh, I mean digitally...?

My friend who will be sharing this adventure is an outstanding elk caller. It will be a huge plus. We will be trying to get in on the big bulls early before they gather up their cows.

Wow!!! Have a great hunt...

I just checked to see if I had mail from Utah but nothing? I also checked their web-site and the application still shows open? Maybe they notify the folks who drew first? Oh well still hoping

Congrats ... Pics, pics, pics  :)

looks like I'll be there ahead of you. (to live..not for a bull tag) hopefully we'll have a place you can crash and then bring meat back to. I guess I could help pack it out and maybe do some scouting too?

Hey coaster the results are not out yet you need to check your credit card to see if you have a hit on it that is how people are finding out now.

I think I must have checked my credit card about 50X before it showed up there as a charge yesterday. Hope it works out for you guys who applied. I've had a couple of guys send me pics of bulls they shot in that unit....WOW! I know it's far from a guaranteed deal. But just to be able to hunt ground where 320 bulls are not uncommon is going to be FUN!
Okie, timing is everything. Maybe you guys moving to Utah was just meant to be!

YAHOOOOO! Sorry, every once in awhile I just have to let loose with a 8yr old pent up yell!   :biglaugh:

Congrats Snag!!! Looking forward to following you hunt here. Hope you shoot a monster!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

You can bet on a Blacktail being with me on this hunt!!! I will be picking up a new one from Norm in a week. I think this one will be going with me to Utah.

Best too ya, David! I can taste the steaks grilling!

Like my little league coach use to say, may not be the best, but we sure are dressed for success!  :biglaugh:

Look foward to a great read!

Thanks to all the guys that have come forward with info. that will really help in forming a "game plan". The pictures I've received are really making it hard to have to wait until Sept. though!    :banghead:
