Changes At Prairie Traditions
« on: May 21, 2011, 03:20:00 PM »
I have recently made a number of changes at Prairie Traditions.  Bow refinishing and weight reductions will continue to remain the major focus.  In addition, have made the following changes for the upcoming show season.

I have added Lone Wolf Treestands as a new product line.  In my opinion, Lone Wolf stands are at the top of the class for quality.  They have recently moved production of their stands back to the USA to assure that quality remains the number one focus.  My intent is to keep the most popular products in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

I have added a number of used bows in a variety of price ranges.  I will have a used bow rack of inventory with me at shows this summer.

I have discontinued carrying hats at the shows this summer.  Hats were a unique and fun product line that were very popular and sold well, however the difficulty in maintaining a wide selection of styles and sizes was a constant challenge.

I will continue to sell hunting packs, focusing exclusively on the Eberlestock line of packs.  Eberlestock packs offer extremely high quality at an affordable price for the average serious hunter.

One downside to the Eberlestock packs popularity is the difficulty in keeping them in stock.  My existing pack inventory is very limited going into the show season.  I have orders in place, but the manufacturer is currently back-ordered on the most popular models.

If I don't have what you want in stock right now I will accept preorders for packs and will provide free shipping when they do come in, which should be in plenty of time for hunting season.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the shows this summer!

Dealing with Whip is a "no-worries" affair. Any chance you will be at Denton Hill this year?

Yes I will be at Denton!  Although I did just call Joyce this week to see if she had a waiting list for vendors.  At this point I still will have a booth in the main tent.  But if she comes up with another vendor I might just take that show off and come just to shoot and have fun!

I enjoy doing shows, but once in awhile it would be fun to just go to a shoot and sit back and relax with friends.  :campfire:

To the tip top for my Yankee bud Whip !

You sure looked comfy and relaxed at Twin Oaks a few weeks back bud ! Can't wait to see you at Compton. Uncle Robtattoo will be my co-pilot, ( Oh lord ! ). Don and I will probably handcuff Mason and Skyler in the third row seat so we can see some peace for the 9 hr drive.

While I am there I want to smoke over them Lone Wolf stands. Been eyeballin 'em now for some time. Since you didn't take the gimme shot on that big fat elk cow at <10yds, hopin for horns that we can't eat, whatcha gonna feed me this year at your camp fire.... ? Maybe Shaun will pull us out of the fire with some Iowa corn fed sweet baby doe backstrappage ? Maybe the "Striped Whistlers" gave him some Canadian Walleye fillets and we can have a fish fry ?

Sorry Jimmy, I won't be camping this year.  Between running the Prairie Trad booth and all the stuff I will be doing with being in charge of vendors and misc. board stuff I just don't think I'd have any time left to keep a campsite running.  That makes me really sad, because the camp is my favorite part of the whole weekend!

I am liking that idea of Shaun putting on a fish fry though!  ;)
I think that Smiley will have my normal camp spot with his tipi, so that is another party we can crash

Aw, no hats?!  My 2 sons were looking forward to hat shopping at Compton.

I know what you mean about camping...that's half the fun.

Whip is a class act to deal with. I've done a couple deals with him and they went flawless!
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

I forgot to mention one other addition to our website.

I have added a page for some great wall tents offered through Cylinder Stoves.  These are great quality tents at a good price.  If you are in the market for a wall tent be sure to check these out.
