With aftermarket limbs (I love my Rose Oak set, but RER, Schafer and at least one other is making them) It'll shoot with the best of them. I like the riser mass, the grip (the early S-grip from the early 80's, not so much the newer grip) and the T/D system is really nice.
Bear apparently has slightly changed the stock limbs, so I can't comment on the new limbs, but limbs they had been making up until the redesign were sluggish compared to the bows you mentioned. They were a rock-solid arrow launching platform designed to maximize your chances of stacking arrows on top of each other, but if speed is your main concern...
