Reddogge Memorial Day Trad Shoot
« on: May 29, 2011, 06:20:00 PM »
Not really an "official" event, just a bunch of us getting together this morning. Thought you might enjoy it.

Wow!...What an awesome morning we had today. Reddogge Richard "Hot Cheese" Carl and Mrs. were incredible hosts. He spent 3 hours yesterday hacking a trail through his personal 3D course to have us over. "Odd Job" Bernie (Crookedstick1) came all the way from Michigan just to shoot with us for a few hours, so Richard made sure he pulled out all the stops since Michigan shooters are supposed to be better than Maryland shooters.

Left to right here is Odd Job Bernie himself. Primed and ready with Richard's Buffalo bow after a 700 mile drive. Next to him is our host Reddogge Richard, then a good friend and "newbie" to our trad ways ranks Andy (better known as Augie who is a local outdoor writer here in central Maryland), and my son Tristan who may just be the deadliest shot to show up today (shooting a squirrel target in the eye at about 50 yards).

Tristan leading things off:

Couple of "southpaws" following...

He didn't come all the way from Michigan to mess around...

The "new guy" with very good form did not back away from those tough shots. Really glad to have Andy(Augie) join us.

The "new guy's" arrow is on the left of the picture...

By the end of the round this one did not stand a chance...

The mandatory "tree shot" for ya'

Bernie has a ton more of pictures and some video.

Thanks Richard for hosting. Had a great time. Half way through our round, Droptine came strolling through the woods to join us. Thanks Bernie and Andy for hangin' out.

Now that looks like a blast of a time...

Now that's the way to spend a nice day!

As for that rabbit target, it looks like Richard sets up a "mean" course!
