just for your info, I just picked up a dozen epic 600's to shoot out of my DAS, 44 lbs at 27". Full length shafts with 4" four fletch, and 125 gr tip weigh in at 361 grains. and are to weak in spine at full length. I'd of had some tuned by now and been able to give you some more info, but I kinda flattened the end of my middle finger the other day, and it'll be awhile before I get a chance to fine tune them  "[dntthnk]"  But I should be able to go with either 125 or 145 grain tips and still be at or over 8 grains per lbs of draw.

Good info Larry...I was looking at those for a couple of light weights I have and wondered about the finished weight.  Looks like good medicine for my 45lb'rs.

I've got a feeling Shawn that they will probably be just a tad under spined for that weight and your draw. But the 500's should work good for ya.

I'm shooting 55# recurve w/ a fast flight string. I got the Gold Tip 5575s Traditionals w/ 5" barred feathers, with 125gr field tips. Then I used the screw-in weight system to add 100gr. behind that. They weigh 520gr. With 225gr. up front I chrono'd this Blacktail at 185 fps. just today. I think I am going to add more weight tonight and see how it goes. I also have some weight tubes coming. I think for hunting deer and elk I am going to use 160gr glue-on Simmons w/ 100gr. screw-in adaptor. I'm liking it so far!

I'm shooting carbon express terminator 4560's cut to 31.75" out of a 45 lb. Quinn Stallion with non-fast flight string and I couldn't be happier with the setup. The arrows are cheaper than most and seem pretty durable.

I draw a bit under 30" and use standard aluminum inserts with 125 grain points and 5" feathers. My arrows might be a bit on the light side for overall weight though.

This is my first recurve and I kind of guessed on the arrow length and tip weight when I ordered them. I only shoot out to about 20 yards at this point, but my bareshafts and broadheads (Snuffers) hit right where my field tips hit. I almost bought the Gold Tip 3555, but full length is only about 30".  The bow is a metal riser and it is cut past center so I think that helps. I also use a bear weather rest.
