draw length & bow weight
« on: June 25, 2007, 11:56:00 PM »
I recently was able to buy a new bow, 5 pounds heavier than I normally shoot (I usually shoot a 50 @ 28" longbow).  I have a 27" draw, and have noticed that my draw is closer to 26.5" with this new bow.  Will that extra half inch come back after my muscles strengthen, or is there something else going on?  Thanks.

Could be a lot of things. Different riser design/grip. You are at your peak draw at the 26.5 for you and need to build more muscle(if this is true be careful on not building any bad habits into your form to compensate). Etc etc
