The Great Healer-Trad Bowfishing
« on: June 05, 2011, 01:02:00 PM »
Saturday my boy Jordan and his buddy Mike spent ALL day at the State Finals Track meet. Jordan's pole vault event lasted over 6 hours and Jordan and Mike ran in the 4X400 relay, one of the last events of the day. 92 degrees and no shade in sight. Here are pics from the day.

These are pics after the healing. As Mike said," It's amazing how you can be so totally exhausted and feeling sick and a couple  hours of shooting fish with your recures can make it all go away!"

We sure are. Did you get a booth? Didn't see your name on "The List". I sure hope you get a chance to shoot with us, he's a good kid and might balance the group out a bit. He wants me to let him take the boat again tonight!

"He's a good kid"
I'm sure we can fix that!  :biglaugh:

Look at Black beauty, looking all sexy covered in fish blood and guts!

I told his buddy we could rig him up a bow and he said,"I'll take your Zipper, how many guys get to bowfish with a Zipper!" They each shot 2 1/2 fish. One fish beached itself after they hit it and my boy jumped in and grabbed him  :D  Bill, I'd like you to give him some shooting pointers but I'm afraid Benjy would be a bad influence  :bigsmyl:  Tracy would like him he wears pink once in awhile

It looks like everyone had a good time.  I have to try that bow fishing one of these days.

I guess they aren't quite "healed up" yet. I just dropped them at the lake with a 2:00a.m. pick-up time. I need to heal, I have to work tomorrow.

Mike I would be very good at showing them how NOT to shoot!
You know the next step is shooting some gators. Noting like spot and stalk gator hunting in the swamp! We just wade around the edges in about knee deep water with a "headlamp" on. It is a blast!  :bigsmyl:
