If your arrow spine id dead on right, and you have a good release , you should be fine. But, if arrow spine is not right or you have a bad release, shooting broadheads will be a problem.

I use only 4" vanes (27" arrow) but I fletch all my hunting shafts using helical clamps. I like the football (American NFL) analogy. A football thrown without spiral is less stable and accurate as one with a nice spiral toss.
However, the Scout is right on. Great tuning and sound form will produce tight groups with either style of fletching application.

Vanes Bounce pretty bad if youre shooting off the shelf. Are you going to use a Raised Arrow rest? Otherwise, I would use Feathers. Just MHOP of course.

Do some testing, you may need to adjust nock orientation, try stright fletch with an off set, ect...ect... to get good flight off the shelf but can be done. A well tuned arrow with some clearance testing will do the trick.

Helical fletched arrows can cover a multitude of other errors. You just do not gain that much speed with straight fletch
