Formaster

I'm really interested in the Formaster after going through MBB III. I've seen the DIY plans but given the potential for me to screw it up and hurt myself or my bow I'll prob try to get the real deal. It's kind of pricey so I'd like to get some feedback from you guys before taking the plunge. Please let me know you thoughts and experiences.
Thanks

I bought one after taking Rod Jenkins class. IMHO it is one of the best $40 in archery money I have spent. I usually shoot ten arrows twice a week using the form master. It really makes you focus on using your back muscles. It keeps me from getting lazy and using my shoulder/arm muscles. Disc three of the trad gang series has a good explanation of its use.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to look into buying one. I've been using the rope bow to practice but the Formaster looks like it will isolate the muscles even better.

You can make one for a couple of bucks that will work really well. First time I used mine it slapped the heck out of me, learned real quick they punish snap shooters.

I made mine, so I can't comment on the real deal. I will say it's a very useful tool, though. Matter of fact I brought a bow and my formaster to the office today to practice a little through the day.

I started using one the other day for the first time. I'll try and work it in regularly from now on, its a great tool. Turns out I was using my back muscles pretty good.
Its nice to "short string" it like on MBBIII and just draw the bow with your elbow/shoulder. You will quickly learn what a "full" draw feels like. Warning though...with use of the device you may be forced to start changing your shot....not a bad thing necessarily....if thats something you will be willing to do.

Build your own. Took me about 15-20 minutes to get mine done. Nylon webbing 38" long, double over and sew across it to make a loop in the end that is just big enough to pass the two ends through. Put the two ends together and put a grommet through the both of them. A length of cord and you're done.

Thanks again for the feedback. I'll do a search to find DIY plans, if there is a clear winner just let me know.
Thanks
