Arrow cut off saw plans?
« on: June 21, 2011, 10:18:00 AM »
I've ordered a dozen carbon arrows and I would like to make my own arrow cut off saw. I was wondering if anyone had any plans  to make one?I checked the search engine, the build along, and the how to forum but couldn't find anything on it.
Thanks Mike

Made out of scraps laying around my shed and a Sears Dremel type tool. I have used it many times and it works great.

2x Buckeye Trad hunter. I have one. I had to rig a way to keep the blade from slipping, but it works pretty well.

The HF Mini saw mounted on a piece of Uni-strut.  Works great for me!

Do you guys use the blade that comes with the Harbor Freight saws or do you get something else?

Above is pics of the one I made with the Harbor Freight saw I learned about on here. The arrow sits on a Dixon broadhead tuner. The yellow guides were bought at Lowes for a couple of $s. Very cheap saw that works well. Spendiest piece is the board (oak piece I had laying around).  Needs one modification though. I have only cut bareshafts so far. Gonna try some fletched soon. Will have to turn the Dixon around for the fletch to clear.
